1. What qualifications and experience does the tutor have?

Tutor Ivan is a highly experienced educator who specializes in Secondary Mathematics (both Elementary Math and Additional Math). Having tutored students for over 10 years, the tutor is well-versed with the latest MOE syllabus and O-Level requirements.

2. Which levels and syllabuses do you cover?

We provide tuition for:

  • Secondary 1 & 2 (Lower Secondary) Mathematics
  • Secondary 3 & 4 (Upper Secondary) Elementary Mathematics (E. Math)
  • Secondary 3 & 4 (Upper Secondary) Additional Mathematics (A. Math)

We tailor our lessons according to the latest MOE syllabus, including IP (Integrated Programme) and N(A) syllabuses where applicable.

3. How are the lessons structured?

  • Concept Clarification: Each lesson starts with a recap of previous topics and clarifies any doubts.
  • Progressive Practice: We provide carefully graded practice questions, including past-year exam papers.
  • Exam Techniques: Students learn question interpretation, and proven strategies to tackle common exam pitfalls.

4. Are the lessons conducted in-person or online?

We offer:

  • In person group tuition at Punggol Point Woods, with small group sizes to ensure individual attention.
  • Online Tuition for those who prefer studying from home or require more flexible scheduling.

Please contact me via Whatsapp to check the latest availability for both formats.

5. What is the class size for group tuition?

To ensure quality attention and interaction, we keep our group classes small—max 3 students per session. This balance allows for both collaborative learning and personalized guidance.

6. How frequently are the lessons held, and what is the duration?

Most students attend one to two sessions per week, each session lasting about 1.5 to 2 hours. The exact schedule may vary based on the student’s needs, upcoming exams, and whether they are taking E. Math, A. Math, or both.

7. What are the tuition fees, and how are they charged?

Tuition fees depend on:

  • Group vs. one-on-one
  • In person vs online

8. Do you offer trial lessons or trial periods?

Yes. If parents or students wish to assess the teaching style and environment, a trial lesson can often be arranged (subject to availability). This allows students to experience our tutor’s method and determine if it’s a good fit before committing long-term.

9. What if my child misses a lesson? Is there a make-up class?

We understand that unforeseen circumstances arise. Students who miss a class can often attend make-up lessons within the same week or join another suitable session, depending on slot availability. Please inform us in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.
